Location

Cardigan Coastal Cottages is the core of one of the Ffrwdwenith (wheat stream) farms situated four field back from the cliffs, in a village called Felinwynt (windmill). This is half way between Aberporth and Mwnt, four miles along the coast heading north from Cardigan.

The location provides a panoramic view of Cardigan Bay. From here we can see most of the coast up to Aberystwyth, Cader Idris, Snowdon, the higher parts of the Lleyn Penninsula, Bardsey Island and the Bardsey lighthouse. The Preseli Hills are just to the south of us and the beaches along this stretch of coastline are simply beautiful.

The Ceredigion Coastal Path has been extended, recently, and now joins Ynyslas (northern extreme of Ceredigion, near Borth) with Cardigan and the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path. Cardigan Coastal Cottages is situated on a loop from the path that links east of Mwnt to west of Parcllyn. Our hostel should prove popular with both walkers and cyclists passing this way.

There is a reasonably large sign at the top of the headed "Holiday accommodation" and showing the Cardigan Coastal Cottages logo. Entering the postcode SA43 1RW in to your satellite navigation system should bring you to the bungalow opposite the top of our drive. Some Satnav maps don't oblige and take you to a nearby business park instead. The map, below, shows our actual location and has a clickable link for more details, a larger scale map, and directions.
